Cantina Calcagno Etna Rosso 2022 is a beautifully expressive red from Sicily’s Mount Etna light to medium in body yet packed with character. Grown on the north slope near Passopisciaro on stony volcanic soils, it delivers bright red fruit and citrus tinged lift, layered with earthy spice and that unmistakable lava stone minerality Etna is famous for.

Aroma: Wild cherry, red berries and blood orange, with dried herbs and spice.

Palate: Bright and savoury,elegant red fruit, subtle earthiness and volcanic mineral drive.

Finish: Long, fine and gently structured with lingering spice and stony freshness.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

The Calcagno family has deep roots on Etna’s Versante Nord (north slope) around Passopisciaro, working with Etna’s traditional varieties and the region’s dramatic volcanic terroir. Their wines focus on clarity and place: high-elevation vineyards, mineral rich lava soils, and the lifted, structured style that has helped Etna Rosso earn comparisons to fine, terroir driven reds.
