Bright Brewery Missing In Auckland NZIPA takes the much loved MIA IPA and gives it a full New Zealand hop makeover. It is lean, bright and seriously aromatic, with loads of tropical fruit and citrus coming through without the beer feeling heavy or overly sweet.

Gooseberry, pineapple and lime zest jump out first, followed by fresh pear and plenty of vibrant hop character. There is a firm bitterness underneath, but the palate stays crisp and refreshing, making this a cracking IPA for anyone who loves the distinctive fruit and intensity of modern New Zealand hops.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Gooseberry, pineapple, lime zest, pear and fresh tropical hops.

Palate: Lean and punchy with pineapple, citrus, gooseberry and pear, backed by bright hop flavour and firm bitterness.

Finish: Dry and refreshing with lingering lime, tropical fruit and a clean hoppy bitterness.

About The Brewery

Bright Brewery is an independent brewery based in Bright in Victoria’s High Country. Since opening in 2005, it has built a strong following for beers that combine plenty of flavour with the adventurous spirit of its alpine home.

Missing In Auckland is a spin on Bright Brewery’s long running MIA IPA. This time the beer heads across to New Zealand, using a serious line up of Kiwi hops including Southern Cross, Motueka, Nelson, Nectaron and Cryo Riwaka, along with the Mega Terps blend from Freestyle Hops.

The result is unmistakably a New Zealand IPA, packed with tropical fruit, citrus and those bright aromatic hop characters the style is known for. It is a fun release from Bright and well worth grabbing if you are a fan of hop driven IPAs.
