Luscious deep ruby red in colour with a bright nose featuring lifted aromas of black pepper, plums and hints of tobacco leaf. The palate is medium to full bodied showing excellent balance with flavours of blackberry, spicy plum sauce, all spice and charcuterie before giving way to a fine tannin finish of moderate length. An excellent example of classic Barossa Shiraz.

Winemaker Dan Graham is turning out some lovely wines from the Biscay Road estate on the edge of Tanunda and Bethany. At the lighter end of full bodied, it's a purely framed, fleshy amalgam of ripe satsuma plum, blackberry and black cherry fruits daubed with baking spices, dark chocolate nibs, cedar, olive tapenade, violets, panforte and turned earth. Smooth with impressive sustain, a powdery tannin architecture and excellent quality at this price.
