Ayinger Kellerbier is a traditional unfiltered Bavarian lager with a little more texture and character than your standard Helles.

Fresh bread, cereal grain and soft malt lead the way, with herbal hops and a gentle yeastiness underneath. The palate is smooth and lightly rounded, but still crisp and refreshing, with enough bitterness to keep the malt in check.

This is proper Bavarian cellar beer from one of the region’s most respected family breweries. It gives you the freshness of lager, but with more body, more malt character and that slightly rustic edge that makes Kellerbier so appealing.

About The Brewery

Privatbrauerei Ayinger is based in Aying, south east of Munich, and is one of Bavaria’s best known independent family breweries.

The brewery has a long history of producing traditional Bavarian styles with a strong focus on balance, freshness and quality ingredients. Kellerbier sits perfectly within that range, offering a more natural and less polished expression of lager.

Because it is left unfiltered, the beer keeps more of its malt, yeast and hop character, giving it extra texture and a slightly hazy appearance.

It is still very easy to drink, just with a little more personality than your average clean filtered lager.
