Vineyard And Winemaking

Pèppoli is produced in the heart of Chianti Classico from Sangiovese and complementary red varieties. The mild summer and cooler September conditions of 2024 helped the grapes develop fresh fruit, floral perfume and balanced acidity.

Each variety was handled separately before blending, using a gentle approach designed to preserve the wine’s juicy fruit and create smooth, approachable tannins.

About Antinori And Chianti Classico

Pèppoli was first produced in 1985 and was created to showcase the floral, fruity and approachable side of Chianti Classico. The estate is located close to the celebrated Tenuta Tignanello property in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

The Antinori family has been involved in winemaking since 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. The family has continued managing the business across 26 generations, combining Tuscan tradition with a willingness to innovate.

Chianti Classico is the historic heart of Tuscany’s Chianti region. Sangiovese thrives in its hillside vineyards, producing red wines known for cherry fruit, floral perfume, lively acidity and savoury character.
