Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier 2019 is the iconic Canberra District red that helped redefine modern Australian Shiraz, perfumed, exotic and finely structured, inspired by Côte-Rôtie. From a warm, dry season rescued by timely summer rain, it delivers intense, bright fruit, plush tannins and serious depth, with Viognier adding lift and floral complexity.

Some wines have such distinct DNA. This is one of them. It packs so many layers of flavour and depth, yet never moves much beyond medium body. It smells of a souk market; spicy, peppery and exotic. Food Pairing / Serving Suggestions
Serve at 16 to 18°C and decant 30 to 60 minutes to amplify perfume and soften the youthful structure. Excellent alongside roast lamb, chargrilled steaks, spiced duck, mushroom dishes, or aged hard cheeses.

Clonakilla is a family winery based in Murrumbateman (Canberra District), led by Tim Kirk, and internationally recognised for its distinctive cool climate reds,especially the flagship Shiraz Viognier, celebrated for spice, perfume and elegance. The 2019 blend includes 6% Viognier and spent 18 months in barrel, contributing to its layered complexity and cellar worthiness.
