Reverie Gamay 2025 is bright, juicy and exactly the sort of red that disappears faster than expected once the bottle is open.

Raspberry, cherry and plum lead the way, with violets, black tea and a little earthy spice underneath. The palate is light to medium bodied, fresh and smooth, with lively acidity keeping the fruit bright and the tannins soft.

This is a very easy way to get into French Gamay. It has plenty of fruit, enough savoury detail to keep things interesting and works just as well lightly chilled as it does at normal red wine temperature.

Aroma: Raspberry, cherry, plum, violets and subtle earthy notes.

Palate: Light to medium bodied with juicy red fruit, warm spice and bright refreshing acidity.

Reverie is a French wine range sourced from southern France, with the Gamay coming from the Languedoc area. The broader region benefits from a mix of Mediterranean and inland influences, helping the wines hold onto freshness while still developing plenty of ripe fruit.

The style here is straightforward in the best possible way. Fruit first, soft tannins, good freshness and no unnecessary complication getting between you and the second glass.

If you like Beaujolais, Pinot Noir or lighter reds that can handle a slight chill, this is a very easy bottle to recommend.
