Fat Bastard Chardonnay 2024 is not pretending to be a lean, delicate Chardonnay, and that is exactly the appeal.

Peach, apricot and grilled pineapple lead the way, with vanilla, butterscotch, macadamia and almond meal adding plenty of richness. The palate is full and creamy, with enough bright acidity underneath to keep the wine lively rather than simply heavy.

This is a Chardonnay for those who actually want Chardonnay to taste rich and generous. It delivers ripe fruit, creamy texture and plenty of oak character at a very approachable price.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Peach, apricot, grilled pineapple, honeysuckle, vanilla and toasted oak.

Palate: Full bodied and creamy with ripe stone fruit, pineapple, butterscotch, macadamia and almond meal.

Finish: Rich and smooth with lingering vanilla, toasted nuts and fresh citrus acidity.
