Artigiano Primitivo 2023 is a generous red from Puglia in southern Italy, the sun drenched region known for bold, ripe and beautifully approachable wines. Primitivo is loved for its plush dark fruit, smooth texture and warm Italian character, and this bottle delivers exactly that.

The 2023 vintage is vibrant and juicy, with black cherry, plum, liquorice, baked fruit, tobacco and earthy spice. It is medium to full bodied with a fleshy palate, soft tannins and an easy, satisfying finish. Primitivo is closely related to Zinfandel and is known for ripening early, which is reflected in its name. The grape often gives wines with blackberry, plum, cherry, liquorice and savoury spice, with a naturally generous style that makes it one of southern Italy’s most popular red varieties.
