Named in honour of ancestor Julius Henschke, it remains one of Australia’s most collectible and consistently awarded Rieslings, a wine of exceptional finesse and ageability.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Lifted aromas of lime blossom, white florals, and crushed slate.
Palate: Zesty layers of lime, lemon curd, and green apple framed by tight mineral acidity and crystalline texture.

About the Winery
Founded in 1868, Henschke is one of Australia’s most revered family wineries, now helmed by fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke and viticulturist Prue Henschke. The Eden Valley’s elevated vineyards (400–500m) and ancient soils produce Rieslings of great intensity, purity and longevity. The Julius Riesling is named for ancestor Julius Henschke, a pioneer of the family estate, and represents the epitome of cool-climate Australian Riesling.
