About the Winery / Region

Louis Michel & Fils is a historic family estate founded in 1850, now led by the sixth generation in Chablis. The domaine is renowned for its oak-free philosophy fermenting and ageing exclusively in stainless steel to preserve freshness and the expression of Chablis’ Kimmeridgian limestone soils.

The Vaulorent Premier Cru vineyard lies on the right bank of the Serein River, directly adjacent to the grand cru slope. Its position and soils give wines of greater intensity and structure, often described as grand cru-like in character. In 2022, the site delivers clarity, energy and depth, a classic, age-worthy Vaulorent in the Louis Michel style.
