Linke Shiraz 2023 is a bold Barossa Valley red made from select parcels grown on the Linke family vineyard at Stone Well. It is a full flavoured, generous Shiraz that leans into ripe dark fruit, chocolate, spice and vanillin oak, delivering the plush, mouthfilling style Barossa Shiraz drinkers look for. Linke is a fifth generation Tanunda based producer, with fruit sourced from family blocks in Stone Well and Dorrien.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Liquorice, dark chocolate, forest berries and vanillin oak.

Palate: Rich, juicy and mouthfilling, with flavours of blackberries, dark cherries and plums, supported by subtle spice, mocha and oak.

Finish: Powerful and long, with soft lingering tannins and dark fruit carrying through.

Winemaking

This wine is made from small select parcels of fruit grown on the family vineyard at Stone Well in the Barossa Valley. Picked at optimum ripeness, it is crafted in a generous style that balances ripe, powerful fruit with oak, spice and soft tannin structure.

About the Winery / History

Linke Wines is a fifth-generation Barossa producer based in Tanunda. Before launching its own label, the family supplied grapes to major Barossa wineries, and has produced Linke Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon under its own name since the 2002 vintage.

Cellaring Potential

Drinking well now for its rich fruit and plush texture, with the depth and structure to reward short to medium-term cellaring under good conditions.
