Crafted by one of the Barossa’s most respected winemakers, it delivers generosity of fruit, supple texture, and a seamless finish that reflects Tim Smith’s philosophy of elegance over power.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and plum intertwine with lifted notes of spice, violet, and subtle oak.
Palate: Plush and layered with bright red and black fruits, fine tannins, and hints of pepper and savoury earth. Each variety adds complexity, Grenache brings fragrance, Shiraz depth, and Mataro structure.
Finish: Long, smooth, and beautifully integrated, showing excellent balance and poise.

Food Pairing / Serving Suggestions

Enjoy with chargrilled lamb chops, roast pork belly, or smoky eggplant dishes. Serve slightly below room temperature (16–18°C) to highlight its freshness and spice.

About the Winery / Region

Founded in 2001, Tim Smith Wines is a small, premium Barossa Valley producer known for sourcing fruit from some of the region’s oldest and most respected vineyards. Tim Smith, a Halliday five-star winemaker, honed his craft with Yalumba and abroad before striking out on his own. His wines reflect a deft hand with traditional Barossa varieties, delivering modern expressions that are both approachable and cellar-worthy.

Beautifully balanced now but built to evolve gracefully, cellar up to 2034 for added savoury complexity and silkier tannins.
