Soumah Ai Fiori Rose 2026 750ml

“Dry Yarra Valley rosato with wild strawberry, pomegranate, florals and citrus freshness.”

Soumah Ai Fiori Rosé 2026 is an Italian inspired Yarra Valley rosato with considerably more personality than your average pale pink summer drink. The 2026 brings together Marzemino, Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon, varieties that give the wine both bright fruit and a gently savoury edge.

Wild strawberry and pomegranate lead the way, with summer flowers, creamy red fruits and subtle spice adding depth. The palate is fresh and lively, finishing properly dry with lemon and lime freshness.

This is a great choice if you like dry rosé but want something a little more interesting than the usual Provence inspired formula. Plenty of freshness for a warm afternoon, but enough flavour to make it worth paying attention to. Which is useful, because pink wine should be allowed to do more than simply match the weather.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Summer flowers, wild strawberry and pomegranate with fragrant red fruits and subtle spice.

Palate: Dry and lively with creamy red fruit, pomegranate and strawberry balanced by fresh citrus acidity.

Finish: Crisp and refreshing with lingering lemon, lime, red berries and gentle savoury spice.

Serving Suggestions

Soumah recommends Ai Fiori alongside a generous antipasti platter, and it is easy to see why. Prosciutto, salumi, olives, fresh cheeses and grilled vegetables are all excellent matches.

It will also work beautifully with grilled prawns, calamari, salmon, fresh salads and lighter pasta dishes. This is the sort of bottle that disappears remarkably quickly once lunch moves outside.

About The Winery

Soumah is based at Gruyere in the Yarra Valley and combines classic cool climate varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a particular fascination for northern Italian grapes and wine styles. Marzemino, Nebbiolo, Brachetto, Savarro and Pinot Grigio all feature in the range.

That Italian influence is particularly obvious in Ai Fiori, which means “amongst the flowers”. The name neatly captures the fragrant, floral personality Soumah aims for with this dry rosato.

There are easier ways to make rosé than planting obscure Italian varieties in the Yarra Valley. Fortunately, easier is not always more interesting.

Cellaring Potential

Soumah recommends enjoying the 2026 Ai Fiori now, while its floral aromas, wild strawberry, pomegranate and citrus freshness are at their brightest.

This is a rosé to drink for youthful freshness rather than tuck away for a special occasion.
