About The Whisky

Bruichladdich Classic Laddie Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a vibrant, unpeated Islay whisky that shows a fresher, brighter side of the island. Made from 100% Scottish barley, trickle distilled, non chill filtered and bottled without added colouring, this is Bruichladdich’s signature house style in full flight.

Bottled at a generous 50% ABV, The Classic Laddie is floral, coastal and beautifully textured, with barley sugar, green fruit, citrus, honeyed malt and sweet oak. It is a brilliant choice for those who enjoy Scotch whisky with freshness, purity and character rather than heavy peat smoke.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Barley sugar, wildflowers, orange blossom, green apple, citrus peel, honeyed malt and a touch of salty sea air.

Palate: Fresh and lively, with sweet oak, ripe pear, red apple, brown sugar, malt, lemon citrus, vanilla cream and coastal minerality.

Finish: Clean, elegant and lingering, with honey, toffee, fruit, gentle oak spice and a soft mineral edge.

Serving Suggestions

Enjoy neat to appreciate its texture and coastal freshness, or add a few drops of water to open up more fruit, floral and malt notes. It also works beautifully over a large ice cube, in a highball with soda, or in classic whisky cocktails where you want brightness rather than smoke.
