Creators of Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskies since 1843. It is here, in hand selected wine barriques from Sauternes: the most famous and ancient sweet wine growing region of France, that this whisky develops its rich, spicy and dessert-like flavours. Non chill-filtered for additional aroma and mouthfeel. Glenmorangie has long been known for its expertise in wood. Thirty years ago, the whisky creators have innovated in the art of extra-maturation, transferring spirit first matured in ex-bourbon casks, into ex-wine casks, so that it could gain further layers of flavour.
Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that exemplifies elegance and complexity. Initially matured in American oak bourbon casks, it undergoes a unique finishing process in hand-selected Sauternes wine casks from France, imparting a rich, dessert-like character to the spirit.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Inviting aromas of lemon tart, fresh vanilla pods, orange zest, and coconut.
Palate: Silky and syrupy, featuring flavors of warm gingerbread, nutmeg, toasted almonds, and meringue.
Finish: Long and elegant, leaving behind notes of sweet citrus, honey, and soft spice.
