A pale, Provence style Yarra Valley Rosé with strawberry, redcurrant and citrus, finishing crisp and polished.

Dominique Portet Fontaine Rosé is a bright, delicately structured Yarra Valley rosé made from a classic trio of Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Handpicked fruit is gently pressed and cool fermented to keep the style light and vibrant, with Merlot contributing softness, Shiraz bringing subtle spice, and Cabernet Sauvignon adding shape and drive.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Strawberry, redcurrant and citrus with floral lift (peach, watermelon/blossom notes also show).

Palate: Bright and refreshing, carried by clean acidity with subtle savoury nuance and smooth texture.

Finish: Long, dry and crisp with lingering red berries and citrus.

Serving Suggestions

Pour alongside prawns, salmon, prosciutto, Greek salad, sushi, or soft cheeses like chèvre and burrata.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Dominique Portet was founded in Coldstream, Yarra Valley in 2000 by ninth generation winemaker Dominique Portet, bringing Bordeaux heritage and a cool climate focus to Victoria. The Fontaine range is a long standing pillar of the winery, with the rosé often referenced as an early Australian benchmark for Provence inspired style.
