About the Winery / Region
Dr. Loosen is one of Germany’s greatest Riesling estates, run by Ernst Loosen, whose family has farmed these vineyards for over 200 years. The Erdener Treppchen vineyard meaning “The Little Staircase of Erden” is a steep, red-slate site that produces intensely aromatic, mineral driven wines. Old vines with deep root systems add powerful concentration and complexity. Dr. Loosen’s commitment to low yields, sustainable farming and meticulous winemaking results in world renowned Rieslings of purity and longevity.
