The 2019 Tiziano Grasso Barolo Briccolina is a powerful and elegant expression of Nebbiolo from the prestigious Briccolina cru in Serralunga d’Alba. In the glass, it shows a deep garnet hue, and the nose reveals a complex bouquet of black and red cherry, black raspberry, plum, blood orange peel, pipe tobacco, fresh roses, violets, underbrush, and earthy minerality.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, featuring a core of dark cherry and plum flavours layered with hints of gravel, spice, incense, and lavender. Firm tannins, typical of Serralunga, provide the backbone for long-term aging.
Made from 100% Nebbiolo and bottled at 14.5% alcohol, this wine is limited to a production of around 10,000 bottles and is best enjoyed between 2025 and 2036.
