About The Wine

Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir 2024 is a beautifully expressive Martinborough Pinot Noir with energy, fragrance and finesse. It comes from younger parcels of vines across the Martinborough Terrace and shows a vibrant, fruit driven side of the estate’s Pinot Noir story, while still carrying real depth and structure. The 2024 vintage is especially exciting, with plush fruit, mineral detail and a freshness that makes it immediately appealing now.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Red fruits, hibiscus, pink peppercorn, fresh sage and rosemary.

Palate: Plush and silky, with juicy red cherry, bright fruit concentration, a flicker of graphite and crushed rock, and beautifully infused tannins.

Finish: Fresh, salivating and energetic, with fine cut velvet tannins and lovely persistence.

Serving Suggestions

A lovely match for roast duck, grilled chicken, mushroom dishes, pork loin or charcuterie. It also drinks beautifully with a light chill if you want to lean into its brightness and freshness.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Ata Rangi is one of Martinborough’s benchmark producers and one of New Zealand’s most respected Pinot Noir estates. Crimson was named in support of Project Crimson, the charitable trust dedicated to replanting and preserving native pōhutukawa and rātā trees across New Zealand. Over time, Crimson has evolved from a more youthful, fruit led expression into a Pinot Noir with greater depth, silky texture and a more refined edge, while still remaining a welcoming introduction to Ata Rangi’s style.
