About The Wine

Torbreck Cuvée Juveniles GSM 2024 is a vibrant, Rhône inspired Barossa red that brings together freshness, savoury spice and generous fruit without feeling heavy. Made from Grenache, Mataro, Counoise, Carignan and Shiraz, this is a medium bodied, highly drinkable style with plenty of personality.

The 2024 release shows pomegranate, strawberry, red cherry, plum, dried herbs and savoury spice, with old vine Barossa character adding depth and texture. It is bright, polished and ready to enjoy now, especially for those who love red wines with freshness and flavour.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Pomegranate, strawberry, red cherry, redcurrant, plum, liquorice, dried bay leaf, tapenade and white pepper.

Palate: Medium bodied and lively, with juicy red fruit, savoury spice, fine tannins and a smooth, fresh texture.

Finish: Bright and savoury, with lingering red fruit, spice, dried herbs and gentle Barossa warmth.

Serving Suggestions

Serve just below room temperature or lightly chilled. Enjoy with roast lamb, chargrilled sausages, slow cooked beef, pizza, tomato-based pasta, antipasto, grilled eggplant, mushroom dishes or hard cheeses.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Torbreck is one of the Barossa Valley’s most respected producers, known for expressive Rhône inspired wines made from some of the region’s treasured old vine resources. Founded in 1994 and based in Marananga, Torbreck has built a strong reputation for Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro and classic Barossa blends with depth, texture and regional character.

Cuvée Juveniles was originally created as a bistro style wine inspired by the fresh, approachable reds of France’s Rhône Valley. The 2024 vintage is built around Grenache and Mataro from mostly unirrigated old vine Barossa vineyards, with Counoise and Carignan adding savoury spice, complexity and lift. The result is a Barossa GSM style blend that feels generous, fresh and wonderfully easy to enjoy.

Cellaring Potential

Torbreck Cuvée Juveniles 2024 is made to be enjoyed in its youth for its freshness, juicy fruit and bright savoury spice. It can also be cellared for around 3 to 5 years if you prefer a little more softness and secondary complexity.
