Small Wonder Landscape Pinot Noir 2024 is an elegant Tasmanian Pinot Noir from the Tamar Valley, showing the freshness, fragrance and fine structure that make the region so exciting for Pinot Noir. The 2024 vintage was warm and dry, giving the wine ripe fruit and supple texture while still keeping lovely brightness and savoury tension.

This is a beautifully balanced Pinot with cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, star anise, pink peppercorn and gentle whole bunch lift. It is medium bodied, silky and expressive, with enough depth for Pinot lovers and enough freshness for relaxed everyday drinking.

Wood spice and light leaf-litter tones join in on the palate, which is medium weighted, with a nice saline driveline and a savoury, dry fan of ripe fruit, spice and herbs at the back end.

About The Winery

Small Wonder is a Tasmanian producer based in the Tamar Valley, crafting expressive wines from one of Australia’s most exciting cool climate regions. The vineyard is located at Kayena, north of Launceston, where the Tamar’s long growing season, fresh nights and moderating river influence help create wines with purity, fragrance and natural acidity.

The vineyard was established in 1998 and includes a strong focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, supported by smaller plantings of Riesling and Pinot Gris. Small Wonder’s approach is centred on site expression, organic farming and gentle winemaking, allowing the fruit and Tasmanian landscape to lead the style of the wines.

The Landscape range is designed to capture the broader character of Tasmania through bright, vibrant and approachable wines. The 2024 Landscape Pinot Noir was fermented gently after a short cold soak, spent 14 days on skins and matured for 10 months in oak, with only a small portion of new oak used to keep the wine fresh, fragrant and finely shaped.
