Planteray 3 Stars (formerly Plantation 3 Stars) is a blend of rums from Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad, designed as a high character “white” rum that still carries real complexity. Some components are aged, then carbon filtered back to clear, keeping the profile bright and cocktail ready while retaining depth and aromatics.
Tasting Notes

Aroma: Delicate brown sugar and honeyed notes with hints of coffee bean and baking spice.

Palate: Smooth and lively, Barbados richness, Trinidad polish, and a more emphatic Jamaican structure through the mid palate.

Food Pairing / Serving Suggestions
A natural in classic white rum drinks, Daiquiri and Mojito are the obvious home runs (Planteray even publishes a Mojito spec using 3 Stars). Also great in simple highballs with lime and soda.
About the Producer
Planteray is the modern name for the Plantation Rum portfolio (rebrand rolling out in 2024), created by the Maison Ferrand team. The range is known for blending rums from multiple Caribbean origins and, for many bottlings, a house approach that may include maturation/finishing in France under the broader Maison Ferrand umbrella. 3 Stars specifically showcases the “three terroirs” concept: Barbados + Trinidad + Jamaica.
Cellaring Potential
Rum won’t “age” further once sealed in bottle. Store upright, out of heat and direct light. Once opened, it stays at its best when enjoyed within a year or two.
