G.D. Vajra is one of Piedmont’s most respected family producers, based in Barolo in the Langhe. The estate is known for wines that combine elegance, aromatic detail and traditional regional character, with Barbera d’Alba offering one of the most joyful and approachable expressions in the range.

Barbera d’Alba comes from Piedmont in north-west Italy, a region famous for Nebbiolo, Barolo and Barbaresco, but also home to beautifully expressive Barbera. Barbera is naturally high in acidity and lower in tannin than Nebbiolo, giving wines with bright fruit, freshness and excellent drinkability. G.D. Vajra’s 2024 release captures that style with energy, depth and refined texture.
