Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a rich, full flavoured bourbon finished in a second custom toasted barrel for extra sweetness, oak depth and complexity. It starts as fully matured Elijah Craig bourbon, then spends extra time in specially toasted oak to build layers of caramel, spice, chocolate and soft smoke.

Bottled at 47% ABV, this is a bold but very smooth bourbon with a warm, generous profile. It is ideal for sipping neat, enjoying over ice, or using in a richer style Old Fashioned.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Toasted oak, rich caramel, vanilla, roasted pecan, brown sugar and gentle spice.

Palate: Big, rich and complex with toffee, caramel, pepper, baking spice, milk chocolate and a hint of smoke.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering chocolate, toasted oak, spice and sweet bourbon depth.

Serving Suggestions

Best enjoyed neat to appreciate the sweet oak character and long smooth finish. It also works beautifully over a large ice cube or in a premium Old Fashioned with orange peel.
