Basil Hayden Red Wine Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey is a polished, approachable Kentucky straight bourbon with an extra layer of richness from partial finishing in Californian red wine casks. That cask influence brings a gentle dried fruit character to the classic Basil Hayden style, while keeping the whiskey light on its feet, smooth and easy to enjoy. At 40% ABV, it sits in a softer, more accessible space, making it a very easy bourbon to sip neat or pour for people exploring bourbon beyond the classics.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Toasted oak, dried fruit, cherry and vanilla.

Palate: Smooth and rounded, with dried fruit, cherry, vanilla and classic bourbon oak sweetness.

Finish: Softly sweet and warming, with lingering charred oak and gentle red-fruit richness.

Serving Suggestions

Enjoy neat, with a splash of water, or over a large cube. It also works beautifully in an Old Fashioned or Boulevardier style serve where the dried fruit and oak can show through.
