Bakery Hill Peated Single Malt Whisky 46% 500ml 25th Anniversary Edition is a limited celebration release from one of Australia’s pioneering whisky distilleries. Rich, smoky and deeply layered, it captures Bakery Hill’s bold peated style while marking twenty five years of Australian whisky making.

This special edition is bottled at approximately 46% ABV in a 500ml bottle. It shows tobacco leaf earthiness, complex smoke, toffee and honeycomb, with a finish exceptionally long and complex. The release also carries strong richness, sweetness and peat character.

Aroma: Peat smoke, leather, malt, toasted oak, fruit cake, citrus peel and earthy spice.

Palate: Rich and smoky with tobacco leaf, toffee, honeycomb, malt sweetness, layered peat and warming oak.

About The Distillery

Bakery Hill Distillery was founded in 1999 by David Baker, a former chemistry teacher with a strong belief that world class single malt whisky could be made in Australia. The distillery became one of the key names in the early modern Australian whisky movement, helping prove that local whisky could stand proudly beside established international styles.

The distillery is based in Melbourne and has built its reputation on small batch single malt whiskies made with malted barley, yeast and water. Bakery Hill’s Signature range includes classic malt, double wood and peated malt expressions, with maturation commonly taking place in American oak bourbon casks for around six to eight years.

The peated style is especially loved for its balance of smoke, sweetness and malt richness. Rather than being simply smoky, Bakery Hill Peated Malt carries layers of earth, toffee, honeycomb and oak, giving it depth and warmth while still keeping the clean malt character that defines the house style.
