About The Fiano

Unico Zelo Jade & Jasper Fiano 2024 is a bright, textural white from South Australia’s Riverland, made from one of the Mediterranean varieties Unico Zelo has helped champion in Australia. Fiano suits warm, dry regions beautifully, producing wines with aromatic lift, natural acidity and a distinctive savoury texture.

This is fresh, lively and full of character, with white peach, citrus, jasmine and subtle almond notes. It has enough flesh and texture to feel satisfying, while the acidity keeps the wine crisp, energetic and refreshing.

Aroma: Jasmine, white peach blossom, lemon zest, pear, green apple and subtle almond.

Palate: Bright and textural, with citrus, pear, peach, gentle savoury grip and lively acidity.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Unico Zelo is the project of Brendan and Laura Carter, based in the Adelaide Hills and focused on expressive Australian wines inspired by Mediterranean varieties. Their wines are known for freshness, texture, sustainability minded farming and a strong sense of place.

Jade & Jasper comes from the Riverland, a warm and dry South Australian region where Fiano performs especially well. The variety has its origins in southern Italy, where it is valued for its ability to retain acidity while building flavour and texture. In the Riverland, Fiano can handle heat and dry conditions, making it a smart fit for modern Australian wine growing.

The wine is sourced from Waikerie in the Riverland, where sandy limestone soils and a warm climate help produce a Fiano with generous fruit, floral aromatics and that signature waxy, savoury texture.
