Mont-Redon Réserve Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2024 is a southern Rhône white blend led by Viognier, supported by classic Rhône varieties including Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Clairette. It is a bright, expressive wine with generous stone fruit, floral lift and gentle texture, balanced by fresh acidity and a clean finish. The 2024 release continues the polished, approachable style that has made this wine a strong introduction to white Côtes du Rhône.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Peach, apricot, orange blossom, tropical flowers and subtle floral perfume.

Palate: Medium-bodied and supple, with stone fruit, ripe citrus and a lightly savoury, textural feel through the middle palate.

Finish: Fresh, elegant and persistent, with balanced acidity and a clean Rhône-style close.

Winemaking

The 2024 is made from 55.5% Viognier, 16% Roussanne, 15% Marsanne, 10% Grenache Blanc and 3.5% Clairette. The fruit is whole-bunch pressed, cool fermented in stainless steel, kept away from malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness, then matured on fine lees for added texture before bottling in the February after vintage.

About the Winery / History

Château Mont-Redon is one of the Rhône Valley’s best-known historic estates, with deep roots in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and additional holdings in the wider Côtes du Rhône. The estate owns 25 hectares of vines in the Côtes du Rhône appellation around Orange and Roquemaure, planted on stony limestone-clay plains. The Réserve Mont-Redon label is also used for wines made with fruit sourced from top growers in the region, giving the range a broader regional expression.

Cellaring Potential

Best enjoyed in its youth while the floral aromatics and stone fruit freshness are at their most vibrant, though the lees work and texture suggest it can develop nicely over the short term under good cellaring conditions.
