Concentrated, rich, and wonderfully indulgent, this Muscat offers layers of caramel, raisin, spice, and silky sweetness, a true showcase of McLaren Vale’s fortified heritage.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Raisins, toffee, caramelised orange peel, figs, and sweet spice.
Palate: Lusciously rich with flavours of burnt toffee, dried fruits, molasses, and warm spices, carried by a smooth, syrupy texture.
Finish: Long, decadent, and warming with lingering caramel, roasted nuts, and spiced fruit.

About the Winery

Founded in 1890, Kay Brothers is the oldest family owned winery in McLaren Vale still managed by its founding family. Known for traditional open-fermenters, basket presses, and classic McLaren Vale reds, the estate also has a long history of producing fortified wines of remarkable depth and quality. Their old vine Muscat parcels yield intensely concentrated fruit that forms the backbone of this outstanding 12 year old release.
