Mont Redon Côtes du Rhône 2024 is a classic Southern Rhône red that gives you plenty of flavour without becoming too big or heavy. It is juicy, smooth and nicely savoury, with ripe dark fruit and spice making it a really easy bottle to enjoy.

Blackberry, dark cherry and plum lead the way, with red berries, peppery spice and a little earthy character underneath. The palate has good weight and plenty of fruit, but fine silky tannins keep everything balanced. It is exactly the sort of Rhône red that is approachable now but still has enough structure and character to keep things interesting.

Aroma: Blackberry, dark cherry, plum, red berries and gentle spice.

Palate: Medium to full bodied with juicy black and red fruit, savoury spice and smooth fine tannins.

Finish: Generous and persistent with lingering plum, dark berries, pepper and a gentle savoury edge.

About The Winery

Château Mont Redon is one of the historic names of the Southern Rhône and is particularly well known for its vineyards in Châteauneuf du Pape. The estate also owns vineyards across the wider Côtes du Rhône, including sites around Orange and Roquemaure.

The Côtes du Rhône is made in a classic regional style, led by Grenache and Syrah with smaller amounts of other traditional Rhône varieties. It is designed to show plenty of fresh fruit and spice while retaining the structure and savoury character that makes Southern Rhône reds so enjoyable.

For anyone wanting an introduction to Mont Redon without stepping straight up to Châteauneuf du Pape, this is a very good place to start.

Cellaring Potential

Mont Redon Côtes du Rhône 2024 is drinking beautifully now while the fruit is fresh and vibrant. It also has enough tannin and structure to develop nicely over the next four to five years under good storage conditions.
