Bright ruby in colour, with an alluring bouquet of assorted wild berries, red-licquorice and a hint of confectionary. The palate is very seductive blending richness and roundness with vibrancy and dexterity.

A modern style Barossa Grenache that is ideal for enjoyment upon release but with careful cellaring will mature beautifully for the medium term.

Medallion Winner (Best grenache) – Winewise Championship 2024 Trophy & Top Gold – Winewise Small Vigneron Awards 2023 94 Points – The Real Review (Huon Hooke) Deep purple-red colour, bright and youthful; the aroma is superbly intense and ripe, spicy and dark-cherry to cherry brandy aromas, a lick of oak adds an extra dimension, while the palate is intense and bold, long and ample, with excellent depth of flavour and abundant fine, supple tannins. Brandied cherry traces.

Very impressive. 93 Points – The Vintage Journal (Andrew Caillard MW & Angus Hughson) Medium-deep crimson, Intense raspberry, herb garden, aniseed aromas. Ripe and expressive wine with raspberry, strawberry fruits, lacy textures and fresh juicy acidity. Finishes chalky and minerally with a touch of mint. 93 Points – James Suckling (Ned Goodwin)

This is good grenache, capturing the contemporary zeitgeist of crunchy red fruits melded to a raft of salty, gritty, thirst-slaking tannins, refined, impressive and strident. Full-bodied. Kirsch, clove and rosewater, just a little sweet of fruit and oak, feeling a bit torrefied. A work in progress, but a very good one.
