Sentio Gamay 2025 is an energetic, chillable style red that leans into Gamay’s best traits, vibrant red fruit, floral perfume, gentle savoury detail and a clean, moreish line. Sourced from high altitude King Valley fruit, it’s made to feel lively and aromatic, with fine structure and plenty of “bounce” in the glass. Crafted by Beechworth winemaker Chris Catlow, this bright and crunchy Gamay is a masterclass in texture and finesse,made using a mix of whole bunch, whole berry, and blended fermentations to highlight complexity and drinkability.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Sentio is the Beechworth-based project of winemaker Chris Catlow, focused on purity, restraint and site expression. For this Gamay, fruit is sourced from the Darling Koombahla (Darling Estate) vineyard in Whitfield / Upper King Valley, a cooler, high altitude pocket that suits fragrant, fresh reds. Winemaking is geared toward preserving energy fermented in concrete and matured in a mix of foudre and French oak for gentle structure without losing lift.

Cellaring Potential

Best enjoyed for its youthful vibrancy, but it will hold and gain savoury nuance through 2029.
