Jericho Fiano 2026 is a beautifully fresh Adelaide Hills white that combines generous fruit with the texture that makes Fiano such an interesting alternative to the usual suspects.

Ripe peach, pear and honeydew lead the way, with grapefruit, pineapple and fresh herbs adding plenty of lift. The palate has excellent texture and weight, balanced by crisp acidity and a long, clean finish. The 2026 has already attracted strong reviews, including 94 Points from Ken Gargett for Wine Pilot and 93 Points from Sam Kim for Wine Orbit.

This is a great choice if you normally reach for Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio but want something with a little more texture and personality. It has enough freshness for warm weather drinking, but enough weight to handle richer food as well.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Ripe peach, pear and honeydew with pineapple, grapefruit and fresh herbs.

Palate: Medium bodied and textural with stone fruit, pear and citrus, balanced by bright, clean acidity.

Finish: Long and refreshing with lingering citrus, stone fruit and a subtle nutty edge.

Serving Suggestions

Excellent with grilled scallops, salmon, crab linguine and richer seafood dishes.

It also works beautifully with creamy pasta, roast pork and chicken with fresh herbs. Fiano has enough texture to handle richer dishes without losing its freshness.

About The Winery

Jericho Wines is a family owned South Australian producer with roots stretching back to 1945, when Vic and Grace Jericho began growing grapes in the Riverland. Today the family produces wines from the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale, with a focus on varieties well suited to each region.

Their Fiano comes from cool, elevated Adelaide Hills vineyards, where the variety retains the acidity and freshness needed to balance its naturally generous fruit and texture.

This is one of those whites that makes a strong case for trying something outside the standard Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio routine. Same refreshment, considerably more interesting conversation.

Cellaring Potential

Delicious now for its fresh stone fruit, citrus and energetic acidity, but there is enough concentration and structure for some short to medium term development.

Ken Gargett suggests enjoying the 2026 over the next six years, while The Wine Front lists a drinking window of 2027 to 2031+.

The 2026 vintage specifically received 94 Points from Ken Gargett for Wine Pilot and 93 Points from Sam Kim for Wine Orbit.

The Wine Front has also reviewed the 2026 vintage, tasted in August 2026, although its score is currently behind the publication's subscription wall, so I have not carried that rating across.
