Camba Bavarian Märzen is a classic traditional lager with more malt depth and richness than a standard Helles, but still plenty of freshness.

Caramel, toasted bread and soft cereal grain lead the way, with gentle herbal hops sitting underneath. The palate is full bodied and rounded, with a smooth malty core and just enough bitterness to keep the finish clean and balanced. Camba describes it as a full bodied Märzen with pronounced malt and caramel aromas.

If you like classic German lager but want something a little richer and more satisfying. It has the malt weight of a traditional Märzen without becoming heavy or overly sweet.

About The Brewery

Camba Bavaria is based in Seeon in Bavaria and has built a strong reputation for combining traditional German beer styles with a modern craft approach.

The Märzen sits firmly in the traditional part of the range, with Camba calling the style an often forgotten but indispensable classic. It is built around a richer malt profile and restrained bitterness, giving it a deeper, more rounded feel than a lighter lager.

It is the sort of beer that makes a very good case for malt getting a bit more attention. Hops do not always need to run the meeting.

Serving Suggestions

A natural match with roast pork, roast chicken, sausages, schnitzel and hearty German style dishes.

It also works well with burgers, grilled meats and aged cheeses, where the caramel malt and soft bitterness have enough weight to hold their own.
