Ayinger Frühlingsbier is a seasonal Bavarian lager made for the first warmer days of spring, and it has a little more rustic character than a standard filtered Helles.

Fresh grain and soft malt lead the way, with a delicate floral yeast note adding extra aroma. The palate is full and fresh, with enough bitterness to keep the beer lively and balanced. At 5.5% ABV, it has a little more weight than a standard lager without losing its refreshing feel.

This is a great choice if you like traditional Bavarian lager but want something with a little more texture and personality. The naturally cloudy style gives it a softer, fuller feel while still finishing clean and refreshing.

About The Brewery

Privatbrauerei Ayinger is based in Aying, south east of Munich, and is one of Bavaria’s best known independent family breweries.

Frühlingsbier is one of Ayinger’s seasonal releases and is only available for a short period from the beginning of March. It is bottom fermented and naturally cloudy, giving it a fuller, more traditional character than a bright filtered lager.

Ayinger describes it as a beer that traditionally marks the arrival of spring in Bavaria. Grainy malt, floral yeast and a hint of bitterness make it easy to see why.
