Sourced from selected Adelaide Hills sites and shaped by careful oak handling, it delivers citrus clarity, subtle texture and a taut mineral line. Composed and confident, M3 is a modern Australian classic built on freshness and longevity rather than weight.

A fine, flinty, tense and taut chardonnay set to a leaner expression. Still, it dials in enough peachy fruit, tart citrus freshness and lithe nougat notes, with touches of green herb and cinnamon spice in tow. That reads like a good and long list, and it is. Tasting Notes
Aroma: White peach, lemon zest and nectarine with hints of almond meal, struck flint and gentle spice.
Palate: Medium bodied and finely textured, layering citrus and stone fruit with restrained creaminess and seamlessly integrated oak.
Finish: Long, saline and precise with persistent mineral drive.
Serving Suggestions
Serve at 10–12°C. Time in the glass or a brief decant enhances complexity and texture.

Shaw + Smith was founded by cousins Michael Hill Smith MW and Martin Shaw and is widely regarded as one of the Adelaide Hills’ leading producers. With vineyards in Balhannah and Lenswood, the winery focuses on cool climate precision, early picking and minimal intervention.
