Nericon Vineyard is the founders' original parcel of land in Riverina (the label was set up in the '50s by the Scarfone brothers, who had emigrated from Italy). The 2020 shiraz opens with an array of cured meats, think slices of jamon and peppered salami, with a backdrop of black cherries, blackcurrants and blueberries. The wine shows a red-fruited rhubarb and dark chocolate combination followed by licorice allsorts and dried sage.
