Marcarini Langhe Nebbiolo Lasarin 2024 is a lovely introduction to classic Piedmont Nebbiolo. It has the perfume and fine tannin you want from the variety, but in a fresher, more approachable style that is very easy to enjoy young.

Cherry and raspberry lead the way, with rose, violet, red berries, gentle herbs and a little tea like spice adding extra character. The palate is dry, bright and beautifully balanced, with lively acidity and fine tannins giving the wine shape without making it feel too firm.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Cherry, raspberry, rose, violet, red berries and gentle herbal spice.

Palate: Medium bodied and fresh with bright red fruit, lively acidity and fine, silky Nebbiolo tannins.

Finish: Clean and persistent with lingering cherry, florals, subtle spice and a gently savoury edge.

About The Winery

Poderi Marcarini is a historic family producer based in La Morra in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe region. The family has been making wine for six generations and is particularly well known for traditional Barolo from famous vineyards including Brunate and La Serra.

The Lasarin Langhe Nebbiolo is made from younger Nebbiolo vines in Barolo along with fruit from vineyards around Neviglie. It is designed to show the fragrant, elegant side of Nebbiolo without needing years in the cellar first.

Cellaring Potential

Marcarini Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 is drinking beautifully now, especially if you enjoy fresh, fragrant Italian reds. It should also develop nicely over the next four to six years under good storage conditions.
