Cyril Gautheron Chablis 2024 is a lovely example of classic Chablis, fresh, elegant and full of that clean mineral character the region is famous for. There is plenty of citrus and stone fruit here, but the wine still feels light on its feet, with bright acidity and a lovely sense of freshness through the palate.

Peach and apricot sit alongside lemon, delicate florals and a subtle touch of fresh butter, while the finish turns more mineral and savoury. It has a little roundness through the middle, so it is not overly sharp or lean, but it still finishes crisp and refreshing.

Palate: Fresh and elegant with citrus, stone fruit, gentle roundness and bright acidity.

About The Winery

Domaine Gautheron is a family owned estate based in Fleys, just outside the town of Chablis. The family has been growing vines in the region for more than seven generations, with the domaine established in 1809. Today Cyril Gautheron works alongside his father Alain, continuing the family focus on traditional, terroir driven Chablis.

The estate covers around 28 hectares across Chablis and several Premier Cru and Grand Cru sites. The village Chablis comes from Chardonnay grown on the region’s famous Kimmeridgian soils, which help give the wine its distinctive freshness, minerality and subtle saline character.

Cellaring Potential

Cyril Gautheron Chablis 2024 is drinking beautifully now while the citrus and stone fruit are fresh and vibrant. It should also develop nicely over the next four to six years under good storage conditions, gaining a little more savoury and mineral complexity.
