About The Wine

Longview Devil’s Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a vibrant, medium bodied Cabernet that shows the elegance and structure the Adelaide Hills does so well. Sourced entirely from Longview’s vineyard at Macclesfield, it is fresh and expressive, with plush dark fruit, leafy herbs and fine tannin detail. Twelve months in French oak adds polish without overwhelming the fruit, keeping the style balanced and very drinkable now while still offering solid mid term cellaring potential.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Longview is a family estate in Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills, known for estate grown wines that combine cool-climate freshness with depth and regional character. Devil’s Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the warmest north facing block on the property, planted on free-draining ironstone gravels. Those site conditions help build perfume, varietal integrity and natural acidity, giving the wine both richness and shape.

Cellaring Potential

Drinking beautifully now for its freshness and generosity, with enough structure to reward mid term cellaring. A drinking window through to around 2033 is a sensible guide for this vintage under good conditions.
