About The Wine

Haldon Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a beautifully structured Beechworth red with depth, elegance and long term appeal. Also known as “The Edgar Wallace”, this Cabernet shows a rich, deep red colour and the kind of savoury complexity that makes mature Victorian Cabernet so rewarding.

The 2018 vintage brings together dried cranberry, sarsaparilla root, earthy detail, fine tannins and lively acidity. It is full of character, but not heavy handed, with a long and persistent finish that makes it a strong choice for those who enjoy Cabernet with structure, freshness and regional personality.

About the Winery

Haldon Estate is a small Beechworth producer crafting wines with care, precision and a strong sense of place. Located just minutes from the centre of Beechworth, the vineyard was established in 2010 and is managed along organic principles, without the use of herbicides.

Beechworth is one of Victoria’s most respected cool climate wine regions, known for producing expressive, structured and ageworthy wines. Cabernet Sauvignon from this region often shows elegance, savoury complexity and fine tannin detail, making Haldon Estate’s 2018 release a rewarding bottle for both drinking and cellaring.
