Sorrenberg Cabernet Blend 2023 is a meticulously crafted wine from the esteemed Sorrenberg Vineyard in Beechworth, Victoria. This biodynamic estate red exemplifies the harmony of Bordeaux varietals, offering a refined and age-worthy expression of the region's terroir.
Grapes were hand-harvested from low-yielding vines to ensure optimal ripeness and flavor concentration. Fermentation occurred over four weeks on skins using natural yeasts, followed by 24 months of oak maturation. The wine was bottled without filtration to preserve its integrity.
This versatile red pairs excellently with roasted meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses. Its balanced structure and depth make it a delightful companion to a variety of dishes. Certified Biodynamic.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: A complex bouquet of blackberries, currants, and bell peppers, accented by subtle hints of spice and cigar box.
Palate: Tight acidity and fine-grained tannins provide structure, while a touch of spicy oak adds length and complexity.
