Tasting Notes

Aroma: Intense blackberry, plum, and dark cherry with hints of mocha, vanilla, and cracked pepper.
Palate: Full-bodied and richly textured, delivering ripe black fruits, fine tannins, and notes of cocoa and spice oak integration.
Finish: Long, smooth, and warming with lingering dark chocolate and savoury spice.

About the Winery / Region

Established in 2001 by Steve Kurtz, the Kurtz Family Vineyard is a boutique Barossa producer dedicated to showcasing the character and quality of single-site fruit. Situated near Light Pass in the Barossa Valley, the Boundary Row vineyard benefits from deep red clay soils and a warm, dry climate, ideal for producing rich, flavour-packed Shiraz. Every wine is estate-grown, hand-crafted, and reflects both tradition and the region’s bold, generous spirit.

Cellaring Potential

Superb drinking now, but will evolve beautifully over 10–15 years (2025–2038), developing savoury complexity and silky maturity.
