Crafted from Australia’s longest-running single-vineyard Shiraz (planted 1912), this iconic expression carries the spirit of Eden Valley in every drop. With century-old, dry-grown vines, organically and biodynamically farmed, the renowned Mount Edelstone vineyard continues to impress with each vintage, standing as one of Australia's premier Shiraz even without Hill of Grace.This Shiraz is a living testament to vineyard history and place.
Tasting Notes;
Visual: Deep crimson with vibrant ruby hues.
Aroma: Rich blackberries, Satsuma plum, dark licorice, and perfumed sage, bay leaf, crushed thyme, white and green peppercorn, with hints of cedar and spice.
Palate: Full-bodied and textural—silky, intense waves of blackberry, mulberry, violet, dark chocolate, sage, and pepper frame a core of plush dark fruit, supported by elegant oak and fine-grained tannins.
Finish: Long, structured, with minerality-infused freshness—a classic Eden Valley build, delivering both power and refinement.
Cellaring potential: delicious now, yet structured to evolve beautifully through 2046–47

I used to live next door to this 109-year-old vineyard for nearly a decade and have seen the hard work and attention to detail that goes into its farming. The 2021 is an absolute stunner from a great vintage and I've no doubt that this will age gracefully for decades. The length of flavour with this release is quite something; the fruit is sleek, plush and on-point pure. Blackberry, Doris plum and black cherry layer with spice and hints of sage, bay leaf, pepper, olive tapenade, anise, violets and stone. Velvety and graceful in its flow on the palate with a fresh mineral cadence and superfine, powdered granitic tannins for support.
