Crafted at the historic Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, this expression offers a refined and complex flavor experience.
Nose: Rich aromas of dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan, and toasted oak.
Palate: A full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit, and spices.
Finish: Silky smooth, almost creamy at first, with a long, warm, satisfying tail.
Style: Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
ABV: 45.2% (90.4 Proof)
Cask Type: New American oak barrels, with the second barrel deeply toasted & charred.
Production Process:
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked begins its maturation in traditional new charred oak barrels. After the initial aging, it is transferred to a second barrel that has been deeply toasted and lightly charred. This innovative process extracts additional soft, sweet oak character, imparting unique flavors and a rich, colorful profile to the bourbon.
