About the Winery

The Loosen Barry partnership began in 2010 as a friendship between two great Riesling families, Jim Barry Wines (Clare Valley, Australia) and Dr. Loosen (Mosel, Germany). Their shared passion for the variety led to a series of collaborative wines made in both hemispheres, exploring the balance between Old World minerality and New World fruit intensity. Slate Hill is produced in the Clare Valley using minimal intervention to preserve the purest expression of site and variety.
