J de Villebois is a Loire Valley producer owned by Joost and Miguela de Willebois, a family with a deep love of French culture and the Loire. After settling in Touraine in the 1990s, the family focused strongly on Sauvignon Blanc and has built a reputation for expressive Loire Valley white wines with freshness, purity and regional character.

The Loire Valley is one of the world’s benchmark regions for Sauvignon Blanc. Its river influence, varied soils and cool climate conditions help create wines with bright acidity, citrus lift, herbal detail and mineral freshness. The Val de Loire style is approachable, aromatic and refreshing, while still carrying the crisp structure that makes Loire Sauvignon Blanc so popular.

For this wine, the grapes are grown on clay with flint soils along the banks of the Loire River. The fruit is picked at night to preserve freshness, then gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Six months on fine lees adds subtle texture while keeping the wine bright, clean and vibrant.
