Tasting Notes

Aroma: Dark chocolate, ripe red berries, spice, earth and subtle savoury lift.

Palate: Full bodied and richly flavoured, with dark chocolate, ripe red berry fruit, spice and earthy depth carried by fine, firm tannins.

Finish: Long and persistent, with fruit sweetness, savoury spice and a velvety, lingering close.

Serving Suggestions

A superb match for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, slow-cooked beef, venison or aged hard cheeses.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Meshach is one of the signature wines of Grant Burge and is named after Grant Burge’s great grandfather. It is closely associated with old vine Barossa Shiraz and a classic regional style built around richness, chocolatey depth, spice and long cellaring potential. Matured in French and American oak hogsheads for around 20 to 22 months, it remains one of the enduring reference points for premium Barossa Shiraz.
