Elanto Vineyard Balnarring Chardonnay 2024 is the estate’s single vineyard Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay, built for intensity and detail rather than simple fruitiness. Expect a savoury spectrum of citrus, spiced stone fruit, lees-driven texture and a persistent mineral line, a serious Chardonnay with real presence and ageing potential.

A terrific follow up to the inaugural release, coming out with more weight and body. Mid-straw gold and bright. Floral and waxy with lemon, spiced stone fruit, brown spices and honeycomb,  lots within yet definitely in the savoury spectrum. Fuller bodied, rich, almost al dente with its phenolics and layers of texture via creamy, nutty lees. It’s detailed yet supple, with a succulence thanks to the all important uplifting acidity. Aroma: Floral and waxy with lemon, spiced stone fruit, brown spice and honeycomb; citrus blossom and struck flint notes sit up front.

Palate: Fuller bodied and textured—stone fruit, grapefruit pith and grilled nuts, with creamy/nutty lees complexity and a saline edge.

Finish: Supple yet structured, with uplifting acidity and long, savoury persistence.

Great with roast chicken, grilled fish, butter-poached prawns, creamy mushroom pasta, corn & haloumi, or soft rind cheeses.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Elanto Vineyard is a Balnarring (Mornington Peninsula) project led by vigneron Sandro Mosele with co-owners Elizabeth and Tony Todaro, established with high-density plantings to drive concentration and site expression. It was named Best New Winery in the 2026 Halliday Wine Companion Awards, quickly earning serious critical attention from its first releases.
